The Vision of Hastings Baptist Church

 

God has captured our hearts with His vision for this ministry, what it can be and what it will be. This vision drives us and provides a foundation for ministry within our family at Hastings Baptist Church.

The vision is a process that contains three parts…

 

LOVING GOD

Loving God is a result of a personal, redemptive relationship with Jesus Christ. We

envision our family passionately pursuing:

  • individual worship involving Bible study, prayer, praise, singing, and confession.
  • a vibrant, corporate worship.
  • faithful service.
  • consistent and cheerful giving of our financial resources.
  • courageously sharing the Gospel.
  • opportunities for personal spiritual growth.
  • a lifestyle of humility and complete obedience.

LOVING PEOPLE

Loving people is a result of a growing relationship and understanding of God's steadfast love for people. We envision our family actively pursuing:

  •  intentional, sincere, one- on- one relationships that lead to spiritual birth and
  • deepening relationships with other believers.
  • a dedicated role in discipleship ministry.
  • Biblically based homes and marriages that display God's love.

LOVING SERVICE

Loving service is a result of a desire to tangibly illustrate our love for God and for people. We envision our family energetically pursuing:

  •  a knowledge of personal giftedness and where these gifts can be utilized within
  • where these gifts can be used most effectively within the community.
  • both short term and long term commitments to ministry.
  • involvement in global mission endeavors.
  • service opportunities for individual households.
