Pastor Dan Currie

Dan Currie has served the Lord at the Hastings Baptist Church since July, 1999. He graduated from Southgate High School, a suburb of Detroit, in 1968. He and his wife Patty met at Bob Jones University and were married in August, 1971. Dan graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education in 1973. God led Dan & Patty to their first ministry opportunity as they taught at the Silver State Baptist High School in Denver, Colorado from 1973-76. It was during this time that Dan felt called into the pastoral ministry and returned to his home church, the Inter-City Baptist Church in Allen Park, Michigan, to serve as the youth pastor in this large urban church. He served the Lord for seven years as the youth pass tor and completed his Master of Divinity degree at the Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982. God led the Currie's to their first senior pastorate in 1983, when they went to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. They served the Lord for fourteen years in this ministry (1983-1997) and then went to the Shawnee Baptist Church in Shamong, New Jersey where they served for two years (1997-99). The Currie's have four married children and are blessed with eight grandchildren. Dan & Patty have served together in ministry for thirty-five years and have been happily married for over thirty-seven years. Dan enjoys all the sports and his hobbies include: gardening, hunting and hiking. |
Pastor Paul C. Osborn

Paul Osborn has served the Lord at the Hastings Baptist Church since January 2005. Paul is originally from Long Island, NY. He graduated from High School in1975. He and his wife Diane met at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit PA., and were married in December of 1978. Paul graduated from Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor of Sacred Music degree in 1979. Paul & Diane have had numerous opportunities of ministry in several places in and out of our country. In August of 1979 they were led to their first ministry at the First Baptist Church in Strongsville, OH. There Paul was involved in Youth & Music Ministries. From 1981-1989 they ministered at the Bethel Baptist Church in Jamestown, NY. One blessing in being in Jamestown was that this was Diane’s home church. During those years Paul was involved in Youth & Music Ministries, and the Director of Music/teaching in the Christian School. He also began work on his Master’s Degree in Music at the State University of NY, and completed that in 1991. From 1989-1994 they served at the Haddon Heights Baptist Church in Haddon Heights, NJ. Paul served as Director of Music and Worship Ministries, Evangelism and Discipleship ministries, and Director of Music/teaching music in the Christian school. It was during their days in New Jersey that Paul & Diane sensed the Lord’s leading in their lives for Missions ministry. From 1994-2004 they served as missionaries with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism in Durban, South Africa. Their role on the team there was that of Leadership Training in Music & Worship, Evangelism & Discipleship ministries as well as Church Planting. In the Spring of 2004 they came back to the states to determine where the Lord would have them serve next. It was in the Fall of that year that the Lord led them to the ministry in Hastings, MI. The Osborn’s have three children. The two oldest are married, their youngest is out of the home and enjoying a career in hairdressing. Paul & Diane are blessed with one grandchild. Paul & Diane have served together in ministry for twenty-eight years and have been happily married for thirty years. Paul thoroughly enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and wood working. He also enjoys tennis, and has recently taken up the game of golf. |
